In the spring of 1983, a choir group was born out of the desire of the year’s university choir graduate, “We want to sing along with friends forever”.
Several years later, our professor Mitsukazu Suwaki named us “Aeolian” in the hope that “a choir filled with a warm and beautiful sound like the Aeolian Harp by the god of the wind, Aiolos”. We now became a choir welcoming members not only graduate but also from the general public.
In the 15th year since founding, we welcomed Mr. Suwaki as a music director and conductor, who has brought Aeolian thousands of joy and valuable experiences to meet new and lesser-known works in Japan and abroad through his own selection of songs.
With wonduerful songs and singing with a wish “We want to sing and shine", we could reach the 35th anniversary of our founding in the year of 2018.
Currently, there are over 30 members aged from 30s to 70s. We gather from Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Wakayama, and mainly Hyogo Prefecture to enjoy feeling the magic of Mr. Suwaki conducting.
Aiming for superior harmony, we will keep singing with gratitude to those who support us.
